Yarnda was created by Darren Baumgarten, a Kariyarra man from the Pilbara region of Western Australia and Mellington Drage, a Nyiyaparli man as who is also from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Yarnda specialises in Fixed Plant shutdowns, Maintenances and Monitoring & Security in the mining industry. Our vision is to build a strong Indigenous, non-Indigenous and Diverse Engineering workforce known for our dedication in serving Western Australia with safe quality work.

Managing Director
Darren Baumgarten is a proud Kariyarra man. He is the founder and managing director of Yarnda Group. Darren has over 12 years’ working experience in the manufacturing and mining industry. Over this time Darren has gained invaluable skills and knowledge of coordinating all aspects of mechanical and structural engineering tasks. To make sure the projects, timelines are met in a safe and timely manner. Darren is a driven and motivated individual who takes pride in his work and that is why he is more capable in all aspects of bringing the skills and knowledge in creating a client focused business with safety as a top priority.

Mell Drage 
Managing Director 
Mellington Drage is a Port Hedland local and is a proud Nyiyaparli man, has over 12 years’ working experience in the mining industry in the Pilbara. I takes pride in my work more capable in all aspects to bring the skills and knowledge Gained invaluable skills and knowledge of coordinating all aspects of the mechanical and structural. Mellington adheres to all policies and procedures onsite and offsite. Worked in maintenance space from maintaining old mining plant to state of on the art mining equipment to mobile crushing plants.
